MIRANDA- Residents in Miranda were without running water Thursday after the town’s main water line broke Wednesday evening.
Classes at south fork high school, Miranda Junior High and Osprey Learning Center were canceled Thursday because of the break. Porta potties were set up at Stevens Hall and residents are able to pick up jugs of potable water at the Miranda Market. According to the Miranda Community Services District, they are working to have the pipe fixed and the water back on by Friday at the earliest. Southern Humboldt Unified School District has announced that classes will be back in session Friday for the Miranda schools. They will be using well water until the line is fixed.
