Man accused of injuring U.S. Forest Service Officer pleads not guilty
EUREKA- Twenty-three-year-old attempted murder suspect Silverio Sanchez, who was accused of allegedly injuring a U.S. Forest Service officer in March, appeared in court on Monday for his arraignment.
Silverio plead not guilty to all charges stemming from the incident. He was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and evading an officer causing injury. Sanchez also received two special allegations of causing great bodily injury with the attempted murder and evading an officer causing an injury charges. He has been accused of striking a U.S. Forest Service Officer with his vehicle on highway 36 after that officer attempted to speak with him... Authorities say Sanchez led police on a vehicle pursuit before fleeing on foot. He will appear in court again on May 12th.
