A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two women in Garberville with his pickup truck.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a call this past Friday evening and met with two women 19 and 20 years of age who said they had been in an argument with 25 year old Jonathan Boyd and his 19 year old girlfriend earlier in the evening. Boyd  drove past by the two women who were parked in a lot. He then allegedly turned into the parking lot and rammed into their Dodge pickup causing moderate damage. Boyd and his girlfriend left the scene. The two women were not injured but called authorities who later arrested Boyd after a 48-year-old uninvolved witness came forward and said they saw the vehicle assault and that it wasn’t an accident. Boyd was booked in Humboldt County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run and reckless driving while under the influence. Bail has been set at 50-thousand dollars.
