A man, sleeping in his car at 4 around AM Wednesday on Alliance Road in Arcata was awakened by a another man who opened the car door and brandished a knife.
The alleged suspect, 26-year old Lloyd Antonia Velazquez of Arcata, then took from the victim a computer, camera and cell phone, got into another vehicle and fled the scene.
The 25-year old victim followed Velazquez to a gas station on Alliance road, confronted him and yelled for someone to call 9-1-1. Arcata Police arrived on the scene a short time later and arrested Velazquez for armed robbery and parole violation. He was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for armed robbery and parole violation. Bail was set at fifty thousand dollars.
