On Friday, August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be training scenarios taking place near Commercial and 4th streets in Eureka. The scenarios are part of the College of the Redwoods Crime Scene Investigators Course:
Man assaulted with golf club
A man in McKinleyville is sent out of the area with a fractured skull after an argument over a stolen motorcycle.
On Sunday, June 15th a little after 1 pm , Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 1600 block of Anderson road in Mckinleyville. Two brothers had recognized a 25-year-old male who they believed stole their motorcycle 6-months before…they followed him to the Anderson roadhouse and a fight broke out with the suspect and several of his friends who had armed themselves with a bat, sticks and a golf club. The 24-year-old victim received a large laceration to the head and was flown to a hospital out of the area with a fractured skull. The suspects fled the scene.
