TRINIDAD- A Trinidad man is dead after a fight at the Hidden Creek RV Park early Friday morning. The victim, Jesse Ruiz, 24 of Trinidad, was allegedly killed by 33-year-old Larry Clinton Morrow, the exact cause of death is unknown at this time.

Deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff's office responded to reports that a fight broke out at 3 a.m. When authorities responded on scene they found Ruiz unresponsive. Lt. Wayne Hanson, from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, said residents of the park were attempting to give the man first aid, but when an ambulance arrived medical personnel pronounced Ruiz as dead. '

Morrow was taken into custody just after police arrived. Hanson said he was arrested without incident and taken to the Humboldt County Jail to be interviewed by detectives. "They arrested him after the interview on charges of homicide," said Hanson.

Hanson said authorities have not determined the motive for the assault or the reason why the fight broke out. A weapon has been found, but the Sheriff's office is not releasing what type of weapon it is.

"There was a disturbance here. we're trying to piece it together," said Hanson.

Detectives from the Humboldt County Sheriff's office, prosecutors from the District Attorney's office and a coroner were all on scene.

Authorities have responded to the Hidden Creek RV Park previously. "There's homicides on all four corners of the county of Humboldt. It's unpredictable where the violence erupts," said Hanson.

An autopsy by the Humboldt County Coroner's office is scheduled for Sunday.
