Man flown to Redding hospital after crashing motorcycle
SO. HUMBOLDT- A Whitethorn man was flown to a Redding hospital after crashing his motorcycle in southern Humboldt. California Highway Patrol said Joshua Orion, 26, was driving eastbound on Mattole Road and veered off of the road, and then crashed into a telephone pole. According to CHP he was wearing his helmet but suffered a broken femur. Orion was life-flighted to Mercy Medical Center in Redding. The cause of the crash is still unknown however officers say DUI does not appear to be a factor.
