ARCATA- A Eureka man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a man on the street in downtown Arcata. The man allegedly forced the victim to hand over his wallet and checkbook on the corner of 10th and G Street Wednesday at around 4 p.m.
Damien David Dunn, 32, was arrested two hours after the incident in McKinleyville. Police were able to identify him by reviewing surveillance footage of the interaction and identifying Dunn. Police informed nearby law enforcement and requested his arrest.
Dunn was taken in to custody by a deputy from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department and was taken to the Arcata Police Department where he was arrested for Robbery.
