FORTUNA- Over 1,000 marijuana plants have been seized from a storage unit in Fortuna. Authorities told us it’s a commercial marijuana growing operation.
The Humboldt County Drug Task Force and the County Drug Enforcement Unit were out Thursday morning serving a search warrant in the 100 block of Airport Road. Authorities said they received complaints about the odor of marijuana in the neighborhood. After an 18-month investigation, deputies found marijuana, lights, and illegal wiring. Sergeant Bryan Quenell said, “This will be our fifth search warrant that we have served at this location for an indoor cultivation of marijuana… all of the units we have hit today are connected to one another.”
