Measure Z citizens’ advisory committee back on county agenda
EUREKA- The Humboldt County Supervisors are back home after a two-week break. At tomorrow’s meeting the supervisors will continue work on the Measure Z citizens’ advisory committee. The board is on deadline to structure the committee before the tax goes into effect April 1.
At tomorrow’s meeting the supervisors will work to narrow down the requirements and qualifications for members of the committee. At the last board meeting, several law enforcement officials voiced concerns that they might be left out of the decision making process. Tomorrow’s meeting will determine whether those officials will have a say in how measure z funds are distributed.
Also at tomorrow’s meeting, an ordinance consolidating the sheriff’s and coroner’s office will come before the supervisors again. If approved the consolidation would go into effect January 30.
