Measure Z Citizens Advisory Committee accepting funding applications

EUREKA- The Measure Z Citizens Advisory Committee is up and running. On Friday the group announced it is now accepting applications for funding.

Measure Z, the one-half cent county-wide sales tax goes into effect April 1. The county says they expect to see revenues begin coming in by June. The committee has spent the last month organizing and setting procedure for how to distribute those funds generated. Now, public safety and essential services can apply for a portion. The committee is accepting the applications until 5 p.m. on March 20.

Measure Z Citizens Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. The group will meet again on March 25 at 2 p.m. at the Humboldt County Courthouse.
