Measure Z Meeting Scheduled For Thursday

EUREKA – The Measure Z Citizen’s Advisory Committee will meet this Thursday to look back and then assess the future.

Members of the committee will be analyzing actual revenue from the 2016-17 fiscal year. Much of the funding is based on anticipated revenue. Those final numbers are in and members will be able to see exactly what was able to be funded. Officials will also be looking at new applications for the 2017-18 fiscal year as well as set up scheduling future meetings.

The half-cent sales tax program has been a pretty big success. Over the past two years, 20.5 million dollars has been put into public safety projects and 50 miles of roadway has been repaired. The meeting is Thursday from 2 to 4 pm in the Humboldt County Supervisor’s chamber.
