Meeting which provides childcare services and information to be held in Eureka on Friday
HUMBOLDT COUNTY- If you’re looking for information about the different childcare options in Humboldt County, “Parent Voices Humboldt” will be holding a meeting Friday in Eureka.
The group has been meeting on the first Friday of every month for the last three years. At that meeting, people taking care of children, childcare providers and childcare supporters will be able to talk with one another and share information. A Spanish translator will be present for people who need one. Arts and crafts activities and a healthy meal will be provided to children during the meeting.
"Parent Voices Humboldt is a great opportunity for parents to feel a sense of community, to get to know other parents who are in the same situations, and just an opportunity for parents to learn about what is going on in child care and how it affects their family," said Joanna Castagnola-Nieto, an organizer of Parent Voices Humboldt.
The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and is expected to last until about 7:30 p.m. It will be at the Jefferson Community Center in Eureka at 1000 B Street.
