Meth allegedly found in Arcata traffic stop
ARCATA-A 44-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly having $1,250 worth of methamphetamine in his possession after a traffic stop.
An Arcata Police Officer conducted the traffic stop on the 1600 block of G Street at 9:20 p.m. Sunday. The registered owner, Billy Rutherford, had a warrant for his arrest.
During the search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found a small amount of meth in a plastic bag in his pocket.
While searching his car officers also allegedly located over one ounce of meth packaged for sales, a glass pipe, five ounces of concentrated cannabis and a large amount of cash.
Rutherford was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
