ARCATA- The Minor Theatre is celebrating their 100th anniversary and to celebrate they are going back to their roots.
On December 8, the Minor will bring back a stage performance, one done by, what was then, Humboldt Normal School. Her Own Way, a play, was performed at the theatre 100 years ago. For the anniversary, Humboldt State University's Theatre, Film and Dance department will be brining back the play.
The production will take place on December 8 at 7 p.m. and will benefit the Emma Center.
The Minor now shows movies, but the building traditionally was home to theatre. Traveling troops came to play in town, even Houdini performed there.
