Motorcycle pursuit suspect identified

HUMBOLDT COUNTY - A motorcyclist that led sheriff's deputies on a pursuit has been identified, thanks to help from the public.

Last Thursday evening, deputies were alerted of a biker carrying a bag of marijuana near Bear River Casino. A chase ensued but the suspect got away.

The sheriff’s have since identified the man as 40-year-old Jason Meisner of Eureka.

He is wanted for felony evasion of an officer and felony probation. He also is on formal probation for cultivation of marijuana.

The sheriff’s office received more than twenty calls helping them identify the Eureka resident.
