Navy extends public comment for Sonar testing

NORTH COAST- The U.S. Navy has extended the period for public comment on training and testing that will be conducted off the North Coast. The timeframe has been extended to April 15th.

The Navy plans to conduct tests and training of the Pacific Northwest that uses sonar and explosives.

Public input is for Northwest Training and Testing (NWTT) Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement (EIS/OEIS). The Navy has held eight information meetings up and down the coast.
