ARCATA- Two brand new buses will start picking up riders in Arcata starting Monday. The two state of the art buses were purchased by the city through a $2 million dollar grant to improve transportation.
The buses have a more modern look and feature a larger and wider windshield that provides more visibility for drivers. The buses burn clean diesel, meet modern clean air requirements and drive more like a car.
Each bus cost $500,000 and took three years to arrive with the city.
