New discovery in Arcata stabbing case pushes prelim back
HUMBOLDT COUNTY- The defense for the trio charged for the stabbing death of an Arcata man were given more time to prepare for the preliminary hearing. In court Thursday the defense said they found an additional discovery in the case and filed a motion for the case to be postponed.
Juan Ferrer is facing homicide charges for allegedly stabbing 50-year-old Douglas Allen Anderson-Jordet on Nov. 25 in the heart. Nicholas Stoiber and Sophie Rocheleau are being charged with assault.
The trio are set to appear in court for the preliminary hearing on Jan. 16.
