New HSU President's first day

ARCATA- The new President of Humboldt State University, Dr. Lisa Rossbacher, spent her first day on the job on Monday. HSU's first female President spent her day settling into her new office and introducing herself to faculty and students.

Rossbacher comes to Arcata from Georgia, where she was President of Southern Polytechnic University. She replaces Rollin Richmond, the sixth President of the university.

On her first day, Rossbacher spent most of the day walking around campus introducing herself. She said she did the usual first day activities of any employee like receiving a ID card and a parking pass.

Rossbacher said she is looking forward to having students on campus in August.
