New Huffman bill could help Trinity County economy
TRINITY COUNTY – A bill authored by Jared Huffman and just passed by congress could have a significant economic impact for Trinity County.
It’s called the Trinity County Land Exchange and would allow the county one hundred acres of National Forest land adjacent to the Weaverville airport to develop. In exchange, the county’s public utilities district will convey a forty seven acre parcel west of Weaverville to improve public access to the Trinity River.
Though the approval in congress was bi-partisan in nature, the bill still has to go through the senate for final approval.
