New Interim Captain Introduced At Eureka Coffee Event

OLD TOWN EUREKA – Eureka’s finest were out and about Tuesday morning answering questions and enjoying a cup of Joe with local residents.

It’s was another addition of Coffee with the Captains held this morning at Ramone’s Bakery in Old Town Eureka. It is an outreach program that takes place in a different local almost quarterly throughout the year.

Tuesday was also an opportunity for the police department to introduce a new interim captain. Patrick O’Neill was heading up the Detective Division of EPD and moved over after Steve Watson was promoted to interim chief. He likes that our community wants to be involved and ask their questions.

And while the captains and other officers were speaking with citizens about the state of our city, they found time to also arrest a man in Old Town who allegedly stole a cell phone out of a car a block away. No wasted moments on this day.
