NORTH COAST- A man drowns near Orick while on a rafting trip with two of his friends. A bicyclist was taken to the hospital following a hit and run accident in Eureka. The man accused of murdering an Alderpoint resident in July has been convicted of second degree murder. Community members in Arcata volunteer their time to help clear invasive plants from Janes Creek. The Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods continues to renovate the Teen Center and needs your help to finish the project. The Blue Ox School for Veterans holds an open house so community members can see the replica of Abraham Lincoln's Hearse that the veterans constructed. In addition, North Coast residents do some last minute Valentine's Day shopping at a local flower shop.
