EUREKA- To celebrate the Irish cultural and religious celebration of St. Patrick's Day, North Coast residents are wearing green, drinking beer and eating corned beef and cabbage.

Ghallagers Irish Pub in Old Town expects their busiest day Monday. Owner, Wesley Padden said their sales numbers triple. "People love to come around, have great food and great drink. Just have fun with their family and friends," he said.

Terry Parker, a long-time waitress said staff stay busy continuously from open until close. "It's going to get crazy."

Others celebrating the holiday said they plan to make their own traditional feast at home. Michael DeppeCarter, a Eureka resident, said he planned to make corned beef and cabbage with his wife and son. "[We'll be]cooking a lot of traditional Irish food," he said.
