Governor Jerry Brown has pardoned a North Coast woman for a crime she committed in Humboldt County 18 years ago.
Brown issued 127 pardons on Christmas Eve mostly for drug related crimes. However, Arlette Adelle Wendlandt was pardoned for a burglary that she committed in 1995.
The pardon states that Wendlandt burglarized a home and took food to feed her children. She was sentenced in November of 1995 and served two years and five months on probation.
The governor said that she’s paid her debt to society and has proved that she’s lived an honest and upright life since the incident.
