Officials Set To Present State Wildlife Action Plan
Wildlife officials will present the California Department of Fish and Wildlife update to the State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) and seek public input on the plan. The public meeting will be held at the Wharfinger Building on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife makes updates to the SWAP every 10 years. 13 public meetings will be held throughout the state to get public input on the plan. Environmental Scientists will give presentations on species and habitats that are vulnerable and present conservation strategies.
The agency is seeking feedback from the public, non-profit groups and other agencies on their conservations strategies.
