One year anniversary memorial for Hoopa homicide, Freshwater hit and run
FRESHWATER- One year ago today Jason Warren allegedly killed a Hoopa woman inside of her home and then struck three joggers with a car in Freshwater on the same morning.
A new sign that reads “With Suzie in our Hearts” was placed on the fence post along Myrtle Avenue where jogger Suzie Seemann died. Seemann was a geography lecturer at Humboldt State University and before that taught at College of the Redwoods.
Deputies said Seemann was on a jog with her two friends Terri Little and Jessie Hunt when a vehicle allegedly driven by Warren collided into them. Warren is also accused of killing Hoopa woman Dorothy Ulrich in her home shortly before the accident in Freshwater.
On Friday family and friends held a small memorial for Ulrich outside of her home. As for Warren, he is facing two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder and due back in court Dec. 9 for his preliminary hearing.
