Online petition calls for electronic billboard ban

EUREKA- An online petition to ban electronic billboards in Humboldt County is picking up momentum.

The petition asks the County Board of Supervisors to keep the ban on electronic billboards in the General Plan Update. On October 6 the supervisors voted to eliminate the ban on animated billboards within the county as part of the Scenic Resources Section of the General Plan. The petition has already reached more than 300 signatures with dozens of comments in support of the ban.
