ORICK- Cal Fire officials believe arson is the cause of a trash fire in Orick.
Cal Fire received reports of flames around 8:30 am Friday at the Orick RV Park. When fire fighters arrived on scene, they found a large pile of debris on fire.
“It was pretty big,” said Charles Rylee, one of the first witnesses to the scene. “The flames were probably 10 feet high and the black smoke was just rolling, like, I thought they were burning tires or something like that.”
The fire was contained and did not spread to nearby buildings. Cal Fire officials say there are no suspects at the time and the fire is still under investigation.
