Outdoor Medical Marijuana Ordinance revisited at Board of Supervisors meeting
EUREKA- An ordinance regulating outdoor medical marijuana grows on small parcels will come before the Humboldt County Supervisors again Tuesday.
The draft ordinance first appeared before the board in July. At that meeting, the supervisors made several changes to the original regulations including expanding canopy limits to 100 square feet on up to one acre of land, and 200 square feet on up to five acres of land.
At a public hearing Tuesday afternoon, the supervisors will review the amendments, define who can report violations and find out which organization will deal with the abatements. They will also revisit limits regarding cultivation set backs from neighboring properties and hear public input on the issue.
