Paroled felon arrested with drugs and gun in Arcata
ARCATA - A paroled felon has been arrested in Arcata after law enforcement finds a variety of drugs and a handgun.
Taken into custody was 21-year-old Eureka resident, William Clifford Whiffing. Arcata Police conducted a probation search on Whiffing’s vehicle at the 600 block of F Street this past Sunday evening. Officers located a .44 caliber Ruger handgun, ammunition, a half pound of concentrated cannabis, 4-grams of suspected MDMA or Ecstasy and 2-grams of heroin.
Whiffing was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for the following charges: 3-felon in control of a firearm charges, possession of ammunition, possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, possession of concentrated cannabis and violation of probation.
