PenAir Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

pen-air-pulls-out-of-humboldt-county-caHUMBOLDT COUNTY – Penair, the commuter airline based out of Alaska, which began servicing our airport in April of 2016 is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Service within Penair’s home state of Alaska will continue unchanged as the company begins its reorganization. The Southwest and Boston areas will also be unaffected. The Portland and Denver hubs will be shutting down over the next 90-days. Service from ACV has already been shut down. Only EAS routes will stay open for Crescent city and Portland. All others were shut down August 7.
