EUREKA- The search for a new Eureka City Manager is down to three.

Six candidates for the position were interviewed by Eureka City Council members Monday at City Hall.  A government panel including City Managers from the area and county officials and a community panel will interview the three remaining candidates at the end of February and make their recommendations to the Eureka City Council.  The council will then meet in a closed session to interview the candidates on that same day.  City officials hope to have a new City Manager selected by the spring.  The mayor of Eureka, Frank Jager, is hopeful that whoever is the next city manager will do well.

“I think we've got three candidates, anyone of these three we've picked I think will do a good job for the City of Eureka.  Whoever it is out of those three I think is going to be a good fit," said Mayor Jager.
