REDWAY- Nearly 1,500 people were without power today in Southern Humboldt after a fallen tree took down power lines. Redwood Drive near dean creek road is expected to be closed until 2 a.m. Friday. Just after 9 Thursday morning a tree fell into the roadway, bringing down live power lines.

Humboldt County Roads, PG&E, as well as Redway Fire worked all day to reset the power lines and clear debris. As of Friday afternoon, power had returned to most homes but PG&E says they will not complete work until early Friday morning.
