Process to create new Eureka General Plan underway
EUREKA- The City of Eureka is working to update its General Plan, and residents can give input from the comfort of their home.
The last General Plan Update for land use in Eureka was in 1997.
From Monday until February 24th, people can use a website to share what they like, what they don’t like, the locations they think should be changed, and the challenges they think Eureka is facing.A General Plan Update Community Workshop will be held Tuesday for people who wish to give that input in person. The virtual and community workshops are the first steps of a 2.5 year process to update the Eureka General Plan.
The General Plan Update Community Workshop will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. at the Wharfinger Building at 1 Marina Way in Eureka. If you would like to participate in the Virtual Workshop, you can do so by visiting http://www.eureka2040gpu.com
