Eureka – Police are reporting a rash of dumpster fires have hit downtown Eureka.
Humboldt Bay Fire was called to the 600 block of 6th Street in Eureka for two adjacent dumpster fires. They were extinguished quickly and there were no injuries or damage done to nearby buildings. The area was checked but no witness or suspects were located.
Eureka Police says that since the first of the year, there have now been six suspicious dumpster fires in the downtown Eureka area. If anyone has any suspect information they are asked to call the EPD at: 707-441-4013
