EUREKA - The Humboldt County Correctional Facility held a job fair for inmates.
They’re calling it a “Re-entry Fair” and it is a first for Humboldt County. Representatives from various agencies came to the jail and met with inmates in 1-on-1 sessions prior to their release. The goal is to help lower recidivism within the community and help prepare individuals so they can take their place in society.
Inmates were able to gather information and topics ranged from housing and veteran’s services to drug and alcohol treatment and college classes.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the organizations who attended and looks forward to working with them in the future.
