Redway Community Services District systems running at full capacity
REDWAY- Wastewater and operating water systems in Redway are at full capacity says the Redway Community Services District.
The district conducted a study into their water treatment capabilities after receiving requests for services to a new brewery, commercial distillery and planned subdivision in the area. The study found that water and wastewater infrastructure cannot currently support additional services.
The district expanded their water treatment facility nearly thirty years ago. At that time, the developers had predicted it would be at full capacity in thirty years, but the district took out a 40-year loan to pay off the improvements. The district says expanding the current system to provide those additional services would cost millions. Something they cannot afford while paying off the previous loan.
