Redway shooter pleads not guilty to one count of murder
EUREKA- The man accused of shooting and killing Daneyal Siddique in Redway on Wednesday plead not guilty Friday in court.
Jason Armstrong of Dumas, Texas pled not guilty to one count of murder and denied two special allegations for the use of a firearm resulting in death.
Armstrong was arrested Wednesday morning after turning himself in to authorities. According to the sheriff’s office, Armstrong and Siddique got into a verbal argument on Tuesday. Early Wednesday morning Armstrong allegedly confronted the victim with a handgun and shot him in the chest.
Armstrong is being held on $1 million bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 23.
