REDWAY- It could be another three weeks before Redwood Drive is re-opened to the public.
The road has been closed since February 23, when falling rocks from the bluffs made it unsafe for drivers to navigate the roadway. In the meantime, drivers have to use Highway 101 to travel between Garberville and Redway.
According to Humboldt County roads, two culverts were replaced Wednesday and crews began conducting a bird survey of the trees Thursday. If they determine there is no environmental impact, geo-technical engineers will return Monday to begin placing a net across the bluffs.
