MCKINLEYVILLE- Residents of McKinelyville began experiencing delays Monday on their commute to work.
Roadwork began in the morning on School Road as part of a project by PG&E and the Humboldt County Public Works Department to widen and improve the roadway. Construction runs from Central Avenue to Hwy 101 and has caused some road closures and diversions.
Traffic control is in place to help drivers navigate the road, however, residents are encouraged to take alternative routes the construction is expected to last until December. The department is encouraging drivers to use caution when traveling school road.
