If you've bought Sabra Classic Hummus in the past few weeks, throw it out or return it to the store for a refund. The company has issued a nationwide recall for five SKUs associated with the product.
The company announced Wednesday that it's recalling about 30,000 cases of it's classic hummus due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall encompasses five kinds of the classic hummus with best before dates of May 11th and May 15th.
The Food and Drug Administration says a routine test last month tested positive for Listeria. The bacteria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections and can cause symptoms of fever, severe headaches and nausea.
