The bail for 23-year-old attempted murder suspect Silverio Sanchez, the man arrested for allegedly injuring a U.S. Forest Service Officer in March, has been raised to more than $5 million.
When Sanchez was arrested in Eureka on Thursday morning, he was wanted on five other felony and misdemeanor warrants, including rape, kidnapping, drugs and battery. Also on Thursday, a Sheriff’s Office Investigator requested a bail enhancement for Sanchez due to the risk he poses to the community. A Humboldt County Superior Court Judge raised Sanchez’ bail to $5,410,00 after taking into account all of Sanchez’ charges, including attempted murder. He is currently in the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility.
