ARCATA - The Arcata Plaza was packed Friday night with revelers gearing up for the holidays and greeting two very special people.
Santa and Mrs. Claus came by reindeer but took a horse and buggy to the plaza. They were met by of hundreds of people including lots of kids. There was live music featuring choirs, jazz bands and the Arcata Arts Institute was having an arts and crafts sale. But the jolly old elf and Mrs. Claus were definitely the draw.
Santa’s wife was very proud of the children: “We’ve been getting a lot of Leggo requests this year. So, I’m going to get my Leggo elf on that. And yeah, everyone has been so good. So many children are on my nice list so thumbs up. Keep brushing your teeth. Santa really likes that and we’re going to have a great year.”
