The search for the new President of Humboldt State University will begin as the California State University Board of Trustees hold their first meeting on Monday. The committee to select the president will host an open forum at Humboldt State to receive input from the community on the process.
The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. till noon Monday at the Van Duzer Theatre on campus followed by a closed meeting.
Board policy requires that an advisory committee be appointed to help in the process. Faculty, students and alumni of Humboldt State are part of the group. Policy also requires an academic dean and president from another CSU campus be appointed.
Over the next months the committee will review applications and conduct interviews for the position.
