Law enforcement is searching for three overdue hikers. It's in eastern Humboldt in the Salmon Summit area near Hoopa.
On Sunday, family members were to pick the men up at an agreed location but the hikers never made it. Sheriff’s deputies say they have had sporadic cell phone communication and from those contacts it seems the three hikers are not in eminent danger.
The search will resume first thing in the morning. The Humboldt County Sheriff's office and Hoopa Tribal Police are assisting in that search. We'll have more details as they become available.
