Sewage system in Manila working again

MANILA- Residents in Manila were urged not to use their toilets, showers or dishwashers for several hours on Wednesday, after the sewage system went down.

At about 10:30 a.m., Wednesday’s storm caused a power surge in the panel of the sewage plant, disabling the system.  Electricians resolved the problem at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. About 1,000 people in Manila were asked to not use their toilets, showers or dishwashers during that time, but they were able to drink tap water and cook.
