Six Rivers National Forest Holds Public Meeting For 2013 Fire Season
WILLOW CREEK- Officials from the Six Rivers Nation Forest will use information from community members at a Post Fire meeting for next years fire season. About 20 community members came to the meeting to give officials input on the 2013 fire season.
Over 50,000 acres burned this year in 60 different fires. The largest were the Butler and Corral fires in the Six Rivers National Forest. Mike Minton of the Six Rivers National Forest said this year was above average and that this meeting will help fight next years fire.
