EUREKA- People looking for work will have the chance to learn about career opportunities with the U.S. Forest Service at the 5th annual Six Rivers National Forest Job Fair on Friday.
The job fair will be held at the Six Rivers National Forest Headquarters in Eureka on Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Temporary and permanent jobs with Six Rivers National Forest will be on display. Wildland firefighters, supervisors, captains and chief officers will be there to answer questions and teach people about the different jobs. There will also be opportunities for people to explore jobs with other national forests in California. An organizer of the job fair, Forest Fire Chief Mike Minton, says the job fair will provide employment opportunities for people who may be struggling to find work.
"We do have some positions that don't require a tremendous amount of professional experience or education. We have a mix of kind of all of the above so for folks who are out of work and looking for employment, I would certainly encourage them to come check this out," said Forest Fire Chief Mike Minton.
