Six Rivers National Forest looking for firefighters
NORTH COAST - Six Rivers National Forest is looking for wild land fire fighters.
After the record setting fire season of 2014, officials are filling multiple temporary positions for 2015.
The season usually starts closer to summer but last year began in March. Forest officials say the six month positions are critical for fire management. Duty locations include: Gasquet, Orleans, Willow Creek, Mad River and Fortuna.
Positions to be filled are: Engine Hotshot, Engine Firefighters as well as Lookouts and Dispatchers. Not all positions are available at all locations. To create a profile, send a resume and apply, use the web site or phone number to apply.
